What is Balboa?
Balboa is a type of swing dance from the 1930's and 1940's. It started in Southern CA and is typically done to more up tempo swing music. Modern Balboa is often seperated into two parts, Pure Balboa, in which you and your partner are in closed position (no space between you), and Bal Swing, in which you and are partner are typically in open position (you and your partner are seperated).
